When is Father's Day in Zimbabwe?

Father's Day in Zimbabwe is the third Sunday of June, the same date used in the UK, the US, and South Africa. It is a fixed calendar slot, not a moving one.

A practical note on the weekend itself. The Father's Day Sunday fills up fast, especially for morning drops in time for family lunch. If you want a Sunday delivery, message us earlier in the week so we can hold the slot and bake to the right finish time. Collecting from the studio on the Saturday is usually the simpler option.

Flavours dads actually order

Most Father's Day orders land in four flavour families. We bake them from the same kitchen as the everyday menu, so there is no Father's Day surcharge and no themed markup for the date.

Chocolate and Death by Chocolate. The safe default for most dads. A plain chocolate cake with buttercream finish is a popular Father's Day pick. If Dad is a serious chocolate eater, Death by Chocolate layers chocolate sponge, chocolate ganache, and chocolate buttercream into something denser.

An 8-inch is the natural size for an extended-family Sunday lunch with siblings, partners, and a handful of kids. A 10-inch, or a two-tier build, is what to order when a wider group is in the room (a church gathering or a multi-family braai). Cupcakes for Father's Day

Cupcakes are the right call when the audience is a church group, an office, or a household with several kids who each want their own thing. They start at $20 per dozen with a minimum order of 24 (cupcakes by the dozen).

What we actually deliver: signature flavours topped with buttercream and an optional written message ("Happy Father's Day Dad", "We Love You Dad"). Edible image toppers, fondant figures, or a custom build need longer lead time and a separate quote. If the office is splitting two dozen between vanilla and chocolate, just say so when you message.

Lead time, delivery, and the Father's Day weekend

Standard lead times at the studio:

On the Father's Day weekend the diary fills fast, so message earlier in the week to hold a Sunday-morning drop. The studio replies to WhatsApp inquiries inside one business day, and collecting from the studio on the Saturday is usually the simpler option if your schedule allows.

2. We reply with a written quote and a payment note. Full payment confirms the slot for anytime cakes (50% deposit for wedding or tiered work).
3. Collect from the studio at Madokero, or arrange Harare delivery on the day, with a 30-minute delivery window confirmed before arrival.
