Privacy policy.
Plain language. The short version is that we only collect what we need to bake your cake or reply to your enquiry, and we do not share or sell your details.
Who we are
The Cake Studio is a Harare based cake studio (the "studio", "we", "us"). Contact details are listed on the contact page. The site you are reading is at cakestudio.co.zw.
What we collect
We collect information you choose to send us. That includes:
- Name and contact details (WhatsApp number, email, phone) so we can reply.
- Order details (date, occasion, guest count, flavour, delivery zone) so we can quote and bake.
- Message content you write into the contact form, the consultation form, or WhatsApp.
- Anonymous site usage data (page views, device type, country) via Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity once these are wired in production.
Why we use it
We use the information you send us to:
- Reply to your enquiry inside one business day.
- Send you a written quote and confirm your order.
- Coordinate baking, delivery, and setup.
- Send "studio notes" emails (only if you opted in to the newsletter).
- Improve the site through anonymous analytics.
Who sees it
Your details stay inside the studio. We do not sell your information. We do not pass it to third parties for marketing. The only third parties involved are the technical services that power the site: WhatsApp Business (when you message us), Resend (transactional email), Brevo (newsletter, only if you subscribe), Cloudflare Turnstile (form anti spam), Google Analytics, and Microsoft Clarity. Each of those has its own privacy policy.
How long we keep it
Order related details are kept for the lifetime of the order plus a reasonable archive window for tax, accounting, and reference (we may revisit your previous order if you order again). Newsletter subscribers are kept on the list until they unsubscribe. Anonymous analytics are aggregated and retained per the platform defaults.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- Tell you what we hold about you.
- Correct anything that is wrong.
- Delete your details where we no longer need them.
- Unsubscribe from "studio notes" at any time.

Cookies and tracking
The site uses essential cookies for navigation. When analytics are enabled in production, Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity will set cookies to measure aggregate site usage. They do not identify you personally.
