How ordering works
From "I'd like a cake" to the cake at your table.
Two ordering paths: a quick WhatsApp order for anytime cakes, and a consultation-led path for weddings and Roora Day cakes. Both end with the cake delivered and set up where you need it.
Path 1
Anytime cakes, three steps.
WhatsApp the order
Send us the flavour, the size, the date, and your delivery zone. One business day to reply with confirmation and a payment note.
Confirm & pay
Full payment confirms the order. Pay via USD cash, EcoCash, ZiG, or bank transfer.
Baked & delivered
Baked the day before, finished the morning of. We confirm a 30-minute delivery window the night before and message on the way.
Path 2
Wedding & Roora cakes, six steps.
Enquire
WhatsApp or send the form. Date, venue, rough guest count.
Consult
Free 45-minute consultation. Studio or video call. We talk colour, flavour, structure, budget.
Taste
You taste your shortlisted flavours from real cake before you commit. Tasting included.
Approve
You sign off the design and the written quote. A 50% deposit holds your date.
Bake
Tiers are baked the day before. Sugar work and finishing happen the morning of.
Deliver & set up
We deliver to your Harare venue, stack and finish on the table, check in with the planner before we leave.
Payment
- USD cash, on delivery or in advance
- EcoCash, Zimbabwe's leading mobile money
- ZiG, at the day's USD rate, by mutual agreement
- Bank transfer, confirmation needed before baking begins
We don't currently accept card payments. Corporate orders are invoiced (14 days net unless agreed).
Deposit & cancellation
- Anytime cakes, full payment on confirmation. Full refund 48hrs+ before; 50% within 48hrs; no refund within 24hrs.
- Wedding cakes, 50% deposit holds the date; balance due 14 days before. Deposit non-refundable but transferrable to a new date subject to calendar.
- Roora Day cakes, 50% deposit; balance on delivery. Same transferral policy as weddings.
